Why Redwood Exposures?

Having grown up in California, I have always been a stones throw away from a Redwood Grove. Even in the Bay Area, with the hustle and bustle of the day to day, you can find an escape to the Redwoods. Have you ever looked at the cut out of a Redwood trunk, with the hundreds of rings telling the story of the tree? Redwoods date back thousands of years, back to when the Mayan Empire still ruled and older. These trees are the tallest living thing on this planet! Why do coastal Redwoods thrive in California and no where else...fog. A large majority of the water these silent giants absorb is through California's fog. Simply put, exposing yourself to the world of Redwoods will change you. Spending any sort of time in silence in a forest, will reveal so much.

Expose yourself to the world of the Redwoods.

I grew up in the San Francisco East Bay and inherited a Canon A-1 at an early age. I started learning about cameras from hands on experimenting and pushing the limits of what I thought a camera could do.  Through High School and into College I began to become known as the "Guy with the Camera". It was in college that I got the chance to get a taste of the Dark Room and go back to the root of Photography.
